The Substitute - The Post LOST Watch

Even though *I* can't rewatch, I will continue to post each episode's thread so that anyone who chooses to, can discuss the episodes as you rewatch. Just remember to check back now and again to see if anyone else has posted to the thread.

LA X - The Post LOST Watch

What will be SO obvious now that we know about what the "flash sideways" really were? What will still confuse us? What questions are we still asking? What makes sense now? Post your thoughts.

Tillie Rewatch

Okay Tillies, we survived "The End" and are recovering. We've discussed a "rewatch" of the entire series, and of just season 6. By all means, continue to talk about the finale, but let's take an informal poll as well.

Choose from the following and post your answer:

a) I want to rewatch from the beginning of the series

b) I want to rewatch from the beginning of season six

c) I want to rewatch from the beginning of season six and THEN watch from the beginning of the series

d) I don't mind, whatever the group decides

3) I am not interested in rewatching anything as a group.

If you answered a, b, c, or d, then please choose the answer to the next question.

a) I will be able to watch and comment on one episode a week.

b) I will be able to watch and comment on two episodes a week.

c) I don't mind how many episodes, whatever the group decides.

d) I won't be able to stop at just one or two episodes, but I will comment on the episodes as the group decides.

Thanks, Tillies!

Happy Birthday Tillies!

Today marks the second anniversary of the day we created the little island! It feels like much longer than that! How far we've come! Think of it... two years ago, Charlie died, and I stayed in denial for almost two years. LOL.

Happy Birthday, Tillies!

The End

All I can say is that it was very difficult to type the title of this week's episode and post.

It has been a great ride for sure. To everyone who ever had anything to do with my LOST experience, Tillies most especially, I thank you.

Finis.

What They Died For

This, the penultimate episode of the series, has one of the first titles which seems fairly straightforward. This, of course, means that it could be misleading, but I suspect not.

May the deep breathing begin...

Across the Sea

The first thing that jumps to my mind is the song that Shannon translated from the map that Sayid stole from Rousseau. The English translation of the song is "Beyond the Sea" though in the French, neither "across" nor "beyond" appear in the lyrics.

"Across the Sea" is also a song by someone named Weezer. Lyrics don't appear to be important.

Across the Sea of Suns is a science fiction book written by Gregory Benford, and published in 1984. The plot summary seems a bit remote, except for this intriguing piece:
In 2061, it arrives and discovers a primitive biological race of nomads broadcasting en-masse with organs adapted to emit and receive electromagnetic radiation; their transmissions were blurred by various nomads falling out of synch with the rest. Close up, the transmission is discovered to be an old radio show from the 1950s - the signal the EMs (as they are called) consider best to reply to Earth with.

Most likely, it refers to a "meanwhile, back on the mainland" kind of scenario. What do YOU think?

The Candidate

Five hours
~~~~~Four episodes
~~~~~~~~~~Three Tuesday nights
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Two hour season finale on
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~One Sunday night we won't forget

It is difficult to predict what the hour will entail, except that like the past few episodes, it will give us more answers.

The Last Recruit

With the "centric" episodes behind us (I believe), the reference in the title leaves the net wide open. Will this refer to Widmore's last recruit? MIB's? Jacob's? Mystery Boy's?

The countdown to the end is creeping up on is. After this episode, we have only three hours before the finale. Daniel Dae Kim posted to Facebook that LOST has "wrapped" which means filming is done. Honestly, I am starting to panic. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.
