LA X - The Post LOST Watch

What will be SO obvious now that we know about what the "flash sideways" really were? What will still confuse us? What questions are we still asking? What makes sense now? Post your thoughts.

I know there are a lot of people who have questions that weren't answered. Occasionally, I think of one that I'd like to know, but that probably doesn't affect the story. Here is one: Why does Charlotte speak Korean?

Let's see how many times THIS post hits the board!

No worries, Tasha. Don't think it was your doing since Hammer's hit twice, too.

I think my blogger was messed up this morning. It was doing lots of wacky things.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes! I had a great day (at least the after-work part) - went out to dinner with Brian (hubby) and had a great evening. I'm 50 now - how did THAT happen!!

DocH - it struck me too, when Rose told Jack "you can let go now". I think this re-watch is going to be very interesting. :) ~Rita

PJ, just watched your LOST/Disney connections clip - you're right, it DID seem pretty LOST-esque!

Most of you will remember Julie, who watches (I still can't type watchED) LOST with her son Nolan. She is a part time Tillie, and hasn't been around much this season...

Well, Julie just gave birth to Nolan's little brother...
Desmond Chace!

Congratulations, Julie!

Happy belated, Rita.

Big rumor about an Epilogue to appear on the DVD. It's unclear whether it will be on the season 6 DVD or only on the combined show thing. Purchase incentive? LP has (logically) retired its spoiler policy and we're fighting with people who think it should be okay to put spoilers about the epilogue content on the site.

We've got a bad character on LP who was banned for a personal attack and has since come back FIFTY times with new usernames and proxy IPs. People finally realized that the best treatment is to ignore him. Every time he shows, we roll back his "contributions" and an admin blocks him again. Haven't seen him all weekend.

One item that came to light. The scene at the very end of "The End" with the broken airplane on a beach was added by ABC, not the producers. BAH!!

Anyway, I completely missed the re-watch thread. Busy trying to control our boy. I'll set up my DVR to record what's left.

I haven't been able to watch LA X yet, but hope to soon. I will be watching online, so I hope ABC leaves it all up there.

A very good friend bought me the first five seasons of LOST on DVD as a thank you gift. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I was waiting until the entire series comes out on DVD. In fact, after seeing the photos of what appears to be the box set, I may wait even longer and see if they come out with an "enhanced" version near Christmas. The one to be released in August doesn't look all that spectacular.

No word yet on the LOST Fantasy League winners. In fact, they are dragging it out so much that they just started a contest to bet on who/how the top group of winners are ordered. Winner wins a DVD of Season 6. You have until 1 July to enter the contest guessing the winner of the contest you have been entered in for a year... (Dealer, cash in my chips... I gonna walk over to another casino.)

Rewatched LAX2 twice this weekend. Not as good as Pt1.

The whole Sayid lives/dies/lives thing occurred. And the "Karjack Kate" story started (meh).

The good stuff was the foreshadowing between John & Jack in baggage claim (I lost knives... oh yeah! I lost my father) was good. I also think the Sun foreshadowing about speaking English with the Customs Agent, was very tricky (sneaky).

The best part of the weekend was the local channel played the movie "The Fugitive", with Harrison Ford. I had not seen it in over a decade, and forgot that L. Scott Caldwell (Rose) plays a tough US Marshal type. It was good to see her acting chops (range).

Sorry guys. I feel like I have fallen down on the job - I still haven't rewatched LA X!

Did anyone see the Entertainment Weekly article about the top 100 characters of the last 20 years? Locke made the cut (which had some real losers in it, frankly). Personally, I would have chosen Locke, Ben and Hurley, but maybe I have a bias! *g*

Well hooray! Finally got Season 6, disk 1 from Netflix and watched LA X. The first hour was commentary from D&C, which was amusing, but not particularly enlightening.

Didn't catch too many references in the second hour that were less cryptically prophetic now that we know the truth about the FSW.

One question though - Juliet has something "important" to tell Sawyer, and in the end, Miles tells Sawyer she said, "It worked." We are MEANT to think that the bomb did reset time and that 815 lands in LAX. However, we know now that it did not. So, um... WHAT worked?

I think the comment "it worked" was nothing more than a prophetic clue that she was passing on and was able to see 'the place'(FSW) where they all were 'dead' in the end. Remember she said "It worked." in the FSW to Sawyer when they were at the hospital. The character as well as the viewers were 'duped'.

Nice Hammer. I like it.

I like it too, Hammer.

I originally took it to mean that they were able to successfully move through time.

But it could also nod to the FSW because we know she always believed that if you let love go and it comes back to you, it was meant to be [or something]. And it came back to her, in a sense.
