Happy Birthday Tillies!

Today marks the second anniversary of the day we created the little island! It feels like much longer than that! How far we've come! Think of it... two years ago, Charlie died, and I stayed in denial for almost two years. LOL.

Happy Birthday, Tillies!

The End

All I can say is that it was very difficult to type the title of this week's episode and post.

It has been a great ride for sure. To everyone who ever had anything to do with my LOST experience, Tillies most especially, I thank you.

Finis.

What They Died For

This, the penultimate episode of the series, has one of the first titles which seems fairly straightforward. This, of course, means that it could be misleading, but I suspect not.

May the deep breathing begin...

Across the Sea

The first thing that jumps to my mind is the song that Shannon translated from the map that Sayid stole from Rousseau. The English translation of the song is "Beyond the Sea" though in the French, neither "across" nor "beyond" appear in the lyrics.

"Across the Sea" is also a song by someone named Weezer. Lyrics don't appear to be important.

Across the Sea of Suns is a science fiction book written by Gregory Benford, and published in 1984. The plot summary seems a bit remote, except for this intriguing piece:
In 2061, it arrives and discovers a primitive biological race of nomads broadcasting en-masse with organs adapted to emit and receive electromagnetic radiation; their transmissions were blurred by various nomads falling out of synch with the rest. Close up, the transmission is discovered to be an old radio show from the 1950s - the signal the EMs (as they are called) consider best to reply to Earth with.

Most likely, it refers to a "meanwhile, back on the mainland" kind of scenario. What do YOU think?
