Hey there. Unfortunatly I'm with Hammer. Working for 3 nonprofits and a teenage daughter has got me running. I will also be back in the fall. In the meantime, anyone watched Haven. Circus Dork thinks it will be her (poor) Lost substitute.
In a prior thread, Doc thought that maybe discussions had moved to Facebook. Here is my response for those that may have missed it:
No discussions are happening anywhere else, to my knowledge, Doc. I am also disappointed that there isn't more activity here. I was wondering if anyone was showing up. As I said in a previous post, I am not able to rewatch any of the early episodes online and don't get the channels that are playing them on the air.
Once you get to the place where I can see episodes online, I will join the "discussion" with you, such as it is.
Greetings to any who are watching, which I haven't been...
(I even thought PJ might have started a new thread that I forget to check on.)
I have been strangely uninterested in Lost, perhaps because I was disappointed that TPTB didn't explain some of the phenomena. At an absolute minimum, how does the flippin' Island move? I missed the rebroadcast of LA X part 1 but started recording with LA X part 2; a couple of nights ago, I deleted all the episodes, unwatched, from my DVR. Guilty as charged.
Over on the LP, many of the names I was used to seeing have disappeared. There's a new group of people who are making changes that I moderately disagree with but have no energy(?) to argue about. When I get a notice that a page I have been watching has been changed, I almost always "unwatch" the page.
I'm still looking forward to receiving my copy of the Lost Encyclopedia, which Amazon.com has informed me will ship later than expected.
I'm hoping that "The Event" on NBC has some promise.
Doc, the party biz IS the side biz. My full time job is Purchasing/Traffic Mgr for a medium sized plastics distribution company. Now add toting Jr. to golf tournaments to coaching and being on the board of director for the local Lions chapter (summer fund raising events in high gear) and now I'M LOST from LOST.
Okay, so I looked at a couple of my Sundown theories...and yup Doc, I missed by a bit. FS isn't full of alive people with course correction. Also, MIB isn't Satan himself.
But...I also noticed that all of your posts were deleted by author...whatcha hidin'? (Just kiddin)
I apologize for being MIA as well, been a busy summer and I haven't had the energy to get up and find episodes online to watch. Hopefully I'll get season 6 on blu-ray when it comes out (next month, right?) and I can catch up then!
I also miss "talking" to you guys, but much like JIG, I lost interest after the finale. I keep trying to tell myself that I was satisfied with it, but anytime I think about the mysteries of the island, I get disappointed again. Maybe a new show will come along that we can all get into again. Until then, I'll probably just lurk around here on occasion thinking of the good old days when Lost was still an adventure for us all.

I wish I could make time, but the side biz is really taking off and softball is quite over yet. Looks like I won't be rewatching till fall.
Congrats on the side biz, Hammer. It is nice to hear that things are going well - especially in this economy!
