This episode title leaves WIDE open the possibilities for a clue, but looking at the main cast, and seeing who HASN'T had a centric episode, I am thinking we can narrow it down.
Could it be Hurley - and his guitar case is the package?
Could it be Jin - and the watch is the package?
Could Miles be finally getting a centric episode and the package is a body?
Could Frank be finally getting a centric episode and the package is on the plane?
Could the package refer to the cargo in the locked room on the sub?
My guess is for a Sun and Jin episode, but I will be thrilled no matter what.
I read that Yunjin Kim got married in Hawaii yesterday. It made me realize that they are probably finishing up filming for the finale. Bittersweet indeed. Congrats to Yunjin though!

When I think of a package, I think of Sun and her box of chocolates and gun. I know this episode won't have anything to do with that, but I agree it may be a Sun or Jin episode.

What if Jacob wants to keep the "game" going but can't if MIB leaves the Island. MIB wants to leave so the evil will stop. Therefore, the evil which is contained on the island would be Jacob's doing.... Just a different perspective to chew on. No clue what tonight is about. I will think about it. How cool is it that D&C were able to get CERN to hold off on their LHC success so it would coincide with LOST's final few episodes!!! ;)
I think The Package is referring to the locked cargo on the sub and also whatever Jin was going to buy with all that money. It should give us another chance to see Keamy and Widmore. Hopefully there isn't a let down after last week's unbelievable episode.
I like the locked sub room package idea, but I would guess it has something to do with Jin and the watch and money (that belonged to Keamy?), seems like we haven't seen Sun's and Jin's FSW in a while and last we saw Jin we were left with a huh? moment.

Sawyer's line of "no cause, that would just be ridiculous" had me rolling. Patchy's eye was a close second.
Only 6 left b4 the finale...they can't come soon enough for me.
I feel like the fsw is meshing...things are the same...just mishmashed. Which means that sun is a goner soon on both timelines. Keamy's comment yelled at me....some people aren't meant to be together. Sun and jin don't live happily ever after.

They've all done it. Jack did. Kate did. Sayid looked at his reflection in the glass in Nadia's door (it was mentioned specifically in the script). Locke saw his reflection in the microwave. Ben and Sawyer did too, though I don't remember exactly how. It definitely has happened to every character in their FSW. Did Jin?

I liked Zoe's line about hiring a mercenary instead of a geophysicist. So I wonder why Zoe wasn't on the Kahana with the rest of the science team (and mercenaries).

Here's something that kind of twisted my knickers... poor Yunjin - she's had nothing to say, except "have you seen Jin" for essentially two season (save one Sun-centric FF last season). She FINALLY gets some decent dialogue and a chance to show off her acting ability, and it is all in Korean! Honestly, she did a fantastic job of the eye-acting that O'Quinn and Emerson have become known for, but it sure would have been nice to have some juicy dialogue that we didn't have to read!

One more thing that didn't quite jive with me, and I said this long before Widmore whipped the camera out... this whole season, Sun has been all about finding Jin. I recognize that this is the purpose of her trip, but it really doesn't feel real that she wouldn't say anything about having left her daughter.

Well, I wanted to put all the funny things about the episode up here, but you guys have beat me to it this time! The only other one I can think of is when Lapidus made the comment to Miles about communing with the dead. Again with another comment about something being unbelievable. I think the writers are using all those moments to tell people to lighten up and remember that it's not going to be realistic, it's a wild, fictional show for pete's sake!
Loved Patchy. Loved Desmond. Loved Widmore (even with the bad accent).

I liked the ep; it was what I thought it would be: some answers, some mystery. I had a very intense LOST dream that made perfect sense in my head (and sounds ridiculous when I try to explain it)!
Is it just me or is Sayid losing his Iraqi accent?
Interesting that Sun's motives for flight 815 are different in the FSW. But I guess Hurley's (and possibly others') would be too.
This ep has me back to thinking that Adam & Eve are Sun & Jin. Mostly because if they DON'T end up together, I can see one of them killing themself to be with the other's body. And the bodies weren't side by side in the cave; it was as if they didn't die together.
Whoever asked: Sun did find her wedding ring; she was talking to Kate in the garden when Kate noticed it. This was while Jin was on the raft, and she was so distraught about losing it and relieved to find it.
I'm also back to my original theory that the timelines won't merge; that it's not necessarily alternate time lines but rather a do-over on the same time line. Picture time like a record (as Daniel once said). (I'm picturing it like an Orchid swirl...) I think the shite will hit the fan on the island, there will be one big boom (after Widmore finds the electromag. pockets) and the island moves (in time) again. To the bottom of the ocean I guess.
So with the record analogy, there's a big event/war that causes the needle to jump. Only now in the "new past", there is no Jacob. So the FSW is sort of the future....in the same way that our LOSTies in the dharma-70s came after their 2004.
I could be way off, but one time line is certainly easier to grasp for the average viewer (who isn't obsessively scouring LOST blogs!). It also gives us a glimpse at their "future" post-island while still leaving some things unresolved.
I was thinking about all of this before I had my crazy LOST dream. The dream was so intense that I was trying to connect the dots so hard that it woke me up!
But I remember thinking that the event that "moves the needle" might kill them on the island in 07 (or at least appear that way when the island sinks) and that having something to do with why they all end up in the City of Angels.

His little veiled promise of "what happens, happens," beside being a neat reference, casts a little doubt on the sincerity of the hug Claire offered to Kate a while back. There was talk about the significance of Claire's fingers being curled during the hug.

I responded: I think this brings up another point. Several people have discussed the fact that Ben and Widmore seem to be on the same side. They do appear to both be against FLocke, but that doesn’t really put them on the same side. They are united against a common enemy.
Widmore clearly has ulterior motives for having control of the island. If “beating” FLocke is part of that, then that moves Jacob’s cause forward.
Ben’s motivation has always seemed to be control of the island or power in general. Beating FLocke is part of that.

As soon as Kate came out of the temple, after MIB demolished it, I had that feeling. I remember the stare he gave her. At the time I thought she ws going to need him to convince Sawyer. I think those are the 3 people even though Sun may not be a candidate. MIB realizes Jin and Sun are now the same. One isn't going off the island without the other again.

That's the way I saw it, I do like the idea of Jae being the possible father. Having said that, are they going to appear in another FSW and have that question answered? I doubt it.

Sad turn of affairs for Sun. After OA6, she took control over all of her father's business control. In FSW, he cleaned her out. Also that she is pregnant, but her hotel romp with Jin was their first time. Is Jae the dad-to-be?

They didn't rip each other's clothes off right away because they'd been at the airport/customs for HOURS, and Jin was still sweating his meeting.
And I don't think she'd cheat on him if she was feeling all "Let's run away together!"-happy with him.
The separate hotel rooms weren't just a ruse so when Paik got the bill he'd be fooled... it was the plan. Jin fully expected to sleep alone. The whole "can I leave this button open" ploy that Sun played with her sweater -- that was FIRST time seduction.
I see what you are saying... but I disagree. Not sure we will ever know the answer. Not sure that it matters.

I agree. Sun was about to tell Jin something - can't quite remember how she put it, but it sounded like she was about to tell him something positive. If she was about to tell him that she was pregnant by another man, I doubt he would have been pleased, right after they had just been intimate. Therefore, I believe the baby was/is Jin's.

There were two watches for Jin to deliver, one in Sydney and one in Los Angeles. The recipients were never identified.

Here's my take (there was a similar question on TBI, so this is my answer there, too): Flocke has to get the candidates to LEAVE WILLINGLY. Kidnapping Sun was NOT going to work. IMO he chased her because he wanted to convince her.
I think that once Flocke knew he couldn’t talk an unconscious women into something, he left. I felt like Ben arrived long after Sun knocked her head, so I don’t think there was a chance that he would have crossed paths with Flocke.

My response:
I am not sure he has to leave “with all six” candidates. I think that in order to get off the island, he has to remove any potential candidates – whatever remaining candidates there might be. Jacob is gone, so if he can get the candidates to leave… he is free, too.
Side note: Kate is NOT dead. And to my knowledge, her number was not crossed off (though Flocke told Claire she was no longer a candidate). We are thinking that she is not a candidate because her number wasn’t one of THE numbers. Who knows if that is true?

From what I remember, they showed us only the people with the NUMBERS on the cave wall and a couple irrelevant crossed off ones. They did not show us Austen, crossed off or not, in the cave. Her name was definitely not crossed off on the wheel. Maybe MIB is unaware that she is on the wheel?

I agree. Maybe long enough for MIB to tell Ben where Sun was located. My sister said the same thing about MIB needing to get Sun to leave willingly. Was that leave the island willingly or just go back to his camp willingly? As Tasha stated, that sounds like something Jacob would say.

I'm not totally sure I have a grasp on how Desmond was TT in The Constant. How he was time-traveling. My understanding is that it was his consciousness traveling; he wasn't physically moving through time. So all of that 1996 action was just playing out in his mind, correct?
I don't know. I'm getting confused thinking about readers on the other blog who suggest that since Des disappeared on the FSW 815 flight that he has now traveled to 07 via the sub.

Shelley, my understanding of Desmond's "traveling" is that he was consciousness-traveling, NOT time traveling. It was almost as if he was having a dream that was him living his reality from his past, only he was a participant instead of an observer.
I don't buy the "flashing" from the plane being the same as consciousness-traveling. Jack, Hurley, Sayid and Kate "flashed" from A316 to 1977. COULD Desmond have flashed from O816 (2004) to the sub in 2007? I guess so. Do I think he did? Nope.
There is speculation that Jack "flashed" in the original O815 flight which is why he was so far into the jungle and doesn't remember the crash. I think that is possible.

I don't think Des flashed from the plane to the sub either. Widmore calls him the package...likely would have had a different code name for someone who majically appeared on this vessel.
I just saw one on the LP that's probably been there awhile and that I don't remember us discussing:
MiB could take on a new body only when in "Jacob's" cabin. That's why Ilana ordered the cabin burned and that's how she could say he's stuck.

Seems to me we are due a some of major backstories:
*Actions on the Island during season 1 (and 2?) from Smoke's perspective.
*How Smoke and Jacob got to the Island.
I think it's about time for TPTB to publish a map of the Island. There can't be much more to reveal in the way of physical locations. I know there are fan maps out there, but I wanna see the "official" version!
