Ben F. Cavier
Lost is an American serial drama television series. It follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island, after a commercial passenger jet flying between Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, United States crashes somewhere in the South Pacific. For the first three seasons each episode typically featured a primary storyline on the island as well as a secondary storyline from a previous point in a character's life, though the introduction of shifts forward in time and other time-related plot devices somewhat changed this formula for the latter half of the series. The pilot episode was first broadcast on September 22, 2004 and since then four full seasons have aired, with the fifth currently in progress, and a sixth set to be the final in 2010. The show airs on the ABC Network in the United States, as well as on regional networks in many other countries.

Whoever posts first should act like they assume everyone is getting the new DWY info. Something like,
"Hey the new DWY game is so cool. Has anyone else solved it yet? You get a video reward right away. Can we discuss it here since it is about last weeks epi?"
That should send everyone scrambling to see whats new. The rest of us can chime in and someone, PJ or Hammer perhaps, can discover that you need a certain job status on DWY to access it.
I like it CM... and I think one of us should say we DIDN'T get it and then a couple of hours later, "check our spam folder" for it. Everyone will be scrambling to look in their spam!
What will be interesting, is to see just who PRETENDS to be getting the same thing... like the emperor's new clothes! LOL

Alpert has 4 toes.
Widmore is Locke's 'evil twin'. (Mom gave up other baby in another scene).

Widmore is 20 years older than Locke but Charlie and Charlotte were born the same year as were Boone and Claire. I think we know too much about their backrounds though.
What about Bernard being related to Widmore? We have no backround on Bernard and they are closer to the same age. It might also be able to clear out after the joke. You know some of the newbees will hold on even after we say April Fool.
I suppose anyone could be siblings instead of twins if their ages differ.
I like Locke being related to Widmore, I think people would buy it. He could be Emily's father. We only met her mother.
I have a thought... since this is our super secret spy corner for deciding how the AFP is going to work, remember to check in here, every once in a while....
And if someone posts something really important, go to the current thread and just casually mention the "Cabin Fever" episode in a post and then everyone will know to come and read here!

oh this sounds like fun...i've been out of town so i've been trying to catch up on all the posts from the last two weeks...this sounds hilarious!
My idea of saying that Alpert has 4 toes can use some attention in light of all the debate about which god it may be. Since we can't see the front yet...and my guess is we won't until next...we can say that the face is Alpert's. Thoughts?
We can be vague...like "it's fuzzy and from a distance, but the picture looks like Alpert to me" type stuff?
Honestly, I'm starting to get cold feet. I'm afraid that making people feel foolish won't be seen as funny - to them. It is bound to start some ill-will (or outright fights) or at least make the blog an unfriendly place. This will have to be done very carefully. I don't want to have a part in hurting people. Don't worry, "mum" is still the word.
FYI, Rita there have been AFP's on the blogs in past years. It's a joke and doesn't insult people personally. In the end, we WON'T know more than them to be-little them.
OK, I'm sure it's fine. I guess I am just feeling a little sensitive over something personally. I'm still in.
Gotcha Rita, PJ made it clear that we need to keep it generic and nothing to attack anyone's 'pet' theory. AFPs are time tested fun events!!!

We're going to keep it very generic and make it more about having secret information than about anything specific.
Like I will say, "Did anyone else get an email from DWY or is this a joke someone is playing on me?"
And then Hammer will say he read on another message board that someone got one and Miss Kim will say she didn't. And that will be the end of it for a few hours.
Then Miss Kim will have "checked her spam" and say she DID get one and can't wait to see the "exciting info" they are promising in their email.
Then DocH will chime in that he got one and so will everyone else from TLI.
Then we can just banter about the cool things we saw (extra scene, whatever) without alluding to any ONE specific thing, but that it TOTALLY confirms "some" theory or another.
Then, when everyone is chomping at the bit BEGGING us to spill the beans, we will all go in at a specified time and type April Fools!
Does that sound okay? I do NOT want to humiliate anyone, or pick on any specific idea or theory. This is about a joke, not bullying!
Everyone else should feel free to contribute ideas to flush it out and make it more real.

Thanks PJ, this sounds like fun, and harmless. Like I said, I guess I'm just being overly sensitive. I don't think anyone will mind and we can just have fun with it - it is, after all, for April fools!

I like ihe idea of the joke being that Alpert is the statue and only has 4-toes. It would be wonderful if someone could make a picture showing the front of the statue and it being Alpert. I don't know how to do things like that. Of course, this is assuming we don't learn more about it b4 then.
and as long as we know before hand that someone will have a case of sour grapes and complain about us making a joke...we'll have to make sure to handle that nicely :)
I have been thinking more about our AFP. I think we need to start planting the seeds now, and not wait until just the week before. By starting early, we will avoid suspicion.
And I think, that if we DO that, we could skip the whole "deleted scene" thing and go right from communication from DWY to a phone call from Damon or Carlton.
Who is up to start laying the groundwork early?

I just gave myself an excuse to be off TBI for a day or two and turned off the computer.
Had to turn it back on. If we all go missing it might raise questions, unless it is built into the mythos somehow. Like we are being told not to post or something like that. Someone might post that and then get locked out of DWY for telling?

I think that there is little reaction because maybe not enough of them played the ARG game. They might get more verbal once we allude to the great info we got?
There were quite a few DWY players over the hiatus, as I recall. I think if you talk cryptically among yourselves for a bit, they'll start biting.
I intend to receive my email sometime tomorrow. I just can't decide if it is just later than yours or if I only just "found" it in my "other" email address file.
I think if I get one later than you guys, it will make people hopeful that theirs is coming... which might work out well.

Well I think the lack of talk about our gag isn't OUR problem. There is just a serious lack of talk in total on TBI. Got in this am after a new episode and got 'caught up' reading in 10 mins....where is all the tons of repeats and heavy debate of 'non issues'?
At this point, it wouldn't even be worth saying "april fools"! No body seems to notice.
So attempt number one may have failed, but I do not think we should give up. AFD is still 12 days away. Maybe Ben F. Cavier II?
LOL. I don't think it has failed, yet! I will go say that I got an email and ask if your emails mentioned receiving a phone call and say that I hope that isn't saying too much to get me booted from the cadre.
Maybe that will boost chatter. As far as I am concerned the HEIGHT of the chatter about the email should be on the 31st and 1st.

I truley think the lack of interest is based on many people didn't play the DWY game themselves and the ones that did were disappointed with the ending...leading them to 'not care' about it starting back up.
Once we allude to a big reveal or a big confirmation....they want to know what it is.

I went back and look at some of the other Antrim posts on the current thread and it doesn't 'sound' like any of us. I think that fish is running with the line.
I still think that the fact that the game ended up being lame and not ALL bloggers played it is why there is a lack of interest. Chumming isn't working, so when the time is right, they have to be fed a big chunk of meat.

I say we jump to the whispers page. I don't care if they think all it's funny. My bet is the serious posters will be looking for us and asking us to come back. Perhaps someone could post "What's that bright purple light, I think we're about to jump." on the end of the Namaste thread or on the HOY thread early on the 1st.
Since they won't know how we cooridinated it they will probably think it has something to do with the e-mail we have been talking about. That is, any of those who noticed.

Yes, and now you know who I watch LOST with! She knows all the "rules" - no talking AT ALL (except occasional emotional outbursts) during the show. She's my LOST buddy, since my husband just doesn't get it AT ALL!!! (and usually he's so smart too, hmmm. :) Trix and I have always wondered that no one here has picked up on it yet that we are sisters.
That's funny, Rita. I actually did think that Trizanna knew someone on the blog, but never really expected it was someone that *I* "knew" on the blog. If that even makes sense.

You guys are all too funny! I love what you are doing and I love that people are squirming on TBI wondering where you went.
Trix comes over to my house to watch LOST. And like you, I run to the computer during commercials - that's another rule: Dont' get between me and the computer or you might get run over! :)
(I've been trying to get my husband hooked for a few seasons now - but every time he asks me what is going on, it is just too complicated to explain :(
I think I have come up with a way to make Trixanna's "oops" on TBI work to our advantage!
First, we all start talking about the DWY stuff on the Whisper thread, as planned. Trixanna, if you want to post there, too, just to bump up the numbers, go for it - just use a different name.
Then, in a few days - maybe Sunday or Monday, when someone asks AGAIN where we are (even if it is one of us under an assumed name), Trixanna can very innocently say, "oh they are over in the whispers theory thread discussing the DWY emails they got."
Everyone will rush over there to see everything we've written (and maybe some of them will participate). Then 8:59pm on April 1st, we all pop in there and type April Fool's!
Sometimes, you see, accidents make things EVEN better!

Don't get cold feet. They won't leave the blog. They will keep checking to see if we come back. I for one was angry and said I was gone...I still lurked. They will too. Those folks post here and there but are mainly lurkers.
Sure is tempting to post with an alias and let my buddy on TBI have it with both barrel though....

I think that even though some folks are upset about our dissapearance, several folks who have lurked forever are getting their chance to say something before we do...maybe they'll keep contributing when we come back.

I do not want to move to another thread, nor delete this one. The people who have found us from TBI seem really cool and I think if they DID find out about our surprise, they would prefer to participate, rather than tattle. JMO.
Hope that satisfies everyone. Feel free to delete your own posts if you so choose, but I won't.

I know I've been MIA....and I am sorry about that. I've had a whole lot on my plate lately....
I've been reading the most recent thread on out little island but havn't had the time to post. I'm gonna make an effort to pop over to the whispers thread and help out w/ the April Fool's day joke.
